Those people are incentivised to keep him propped up at least until he's no longer useful to them. What Trump sees as loyalty is no more than personal ambition & greed. No it's not typical, that word was left behind the moment Trump entered politics, the same with Reagan, at least he had competent help around him, and a loving wife, Trump has surrounded himself with inept, incompetent Sycophants, and a wife that hates him, which makes the situation critical.
