New ink! A big old tub of black sumi ink from Amazon. Stinks like you would not believe, but addictively smooth to use. Addicted to lines again.

Thankfully the smell wears off!

I'm not sure if this was a failed experiment or not. The leaves seemed to stick to the masking fluid on some of the prices, causing the paper to rip... Also I was impatient and didn't let things dry 😂

A little experiment with some felt pen spots, adding soft pastels and then black ink. I'm enjoying the way the pastels repel the ink. After some drying I added more pen. Keep experimenting

Having a play with some Epsom salts, water and inks. The salts melted, like they are meant to! But there were some clumps left on this one, so I scraped the chunks off with a knife, which scuffed the paper. Keep experimenting!

Some close up sections from a Finding Flow session yesterday. I've not had chance to play with inks on a large scale for a long time and now I've been ignited, and reunited, with my reds and blacks. These are inks and pastel sticks.

Should have stuck with the first attempt I think! Fine line between too little and too much paint coming off the gel pad and the bubble wrap. It dried quite nicely in the end though.

I've had some metal army stencils for about 15 years and never used them. Today was the day! (Well, yesterday. In the heat they dried super quick!)
I'm not sure where to go with them yet, but it will probably involve pens and inks!
