This week, The Compendium is more acoustically than progressively themed, with the usual blend of the old and the new. Tune in at 8pm (UK) on Wednesday www.folkfridayradio.com
I'm loving Jim Ghedi little ration book of poetry - cutely produced it would fit in your purse. Not read them all, but I'm already thinking, could I turn them into songs... :-p
I could have done with more time at the thereedorganworkshop.co.uk - I took my newly acquired Billhorn Telescopic Harmonium for some mucked TLC. Carl was super helpful & knowledgeable taking me thru how these instruments work & demos of their awesome sounds.
Friday night at “Live at Sam’s” - Where’s else can you pull up an armchair & feel like your at home at private performance - these two fill my little heart with joy which is no mean feet - thanks to Christina Alden & Alex Patterson for coming to Sheffield

Oh wow! I’ve just been followed by Johnny Marr - I had no idea he was living in Nigeria and was so hard up his sick mother can’t afford her medicine. 💊 being the generous person I am I emptied my bank account via Wells Farage,

Every little helps ❤️‍🩹
Dusting off some old songs. Songs I’d kind of written off a steaming pile of doggy doo - what’s nice is rediscovering them again - and being kinder to them and in away kinder oneself ♥️

“I'm at sea again and now your hurricane
Have brought down this ocean rain
To bathe me again
My ship's a-sail, can you hear its tender frame?
Screaming from beneath the waves
Screaming from beneath the waves”

During my travels across hyper-text-uality I came across this video of Lucy Farrell I'd not seen before - 9 years ago. And for those who follow this - she's sporting a bob haircut!

Mind blown...
