I want to cross the Atlantic and shake Rick until he looks like a bobblehead. He *never* fails to produce stories with resonance and payoff, and it's really pissing me off. Stop getting better, Rick, no one wants that! No, I'm not jealous, everyone else is jealous.

I’ve always loved @michaelgrantsmith.bsky.social writing, but there’s just something about this piece that really resonates deeply with me. Like he’s turned the bass up to 11, the bass in all four chambers of my heart, that is 🖤 💫

Also, the last line is an all-timer…
Feels great to be back after a 3-day sub-orbital test flight (details are classified but I can tell you they'd run out of monkeys) and learn my essay-flash-doodle "The Lesser Feats of Atlas" is up at The Airgonaut. I'm home again but still weightless!

Rick thanks for the boost I didn't mean to punch you in the ol' blood-pump and it turns out the piece's ending exceeded my quota of commas for a while so I'm forced to use lots of run-on sentences which is a bitch but I'll work it out somehow oh and I want to write a happy story but don't know how.
"Alright, you've pushed me too far! It's two fingers of Bushmills 16 Year and off to bed with you! Do I have to say it again?"
"Yes, sweet Axl, prior to the rising temperatures and dwindling oceans of the 2020s, a cute kitten such as yourself could've caught real fish! Truly! Honor their memory. And thank our good and generous Overlord Roku for allowing us these digital glimpses of the past!"
If you haven't read Rick's latest published story, why are you even on this Earth? Producing carbon dioxide? Boosting consumer spending metrics? Please immerse yourself in "Kevin" ASAP. Thank you.
They say every writer has one story about a pivotal career change in the life of a dolphin and this is mine! “Kevin” recently published in the Gorko Gazette 🐬 thegorkogazette.com/2025/09/12/k...
New content every morning!
It’s impossible to talk about the 2009 Sea World Dolphin Adventures Squad without mentioning Kevin.

At last, a sketch we can ALL relate to.
I heard that this type of high-quality content on Bluesky produces enhanced amounts of something called "engagement."
I can't talk to you right now. Just got back from my vacation in Tennessee and I'm planning my next trip there, which I hope will be soon.

"facts are speedbumps, or more explicitly they are pancakes of roadkill in the breakdown lane." I lost Michael when I moved to Bluesky from the Bad Place'. It's so lovely to have his writing back. 😊

You are way too kind, Sheila, which is one of many reasons why I've missed you. Thanks!
(29 of 29) ...so for all of these stated reasons, our new kitten Axl is undergoing ball-removal surgery tomorrow. Say bye-bye to his soon-to-be unrealized dreams of tomcat supremacy.
"I ask help from my brother but he’s busy with life, roaming the world, the world that I carry."

I'll be thinking about Mileva's story for days. The nuance, the conversational style. Our burdens to be borne. Take a look and see for yourself!
I'm not here often, perhaps I should, but I have a new story on the wonderful Airgonaut and I'd be honored if you gave it a read, friends 💖
