For those not familiar this was the first edition of #90DaysOfDevOps some core areas covered

I created this data set based on Sched data.

docker pull michaelcade1/kc-app:v2

I will say though many of these repeat speakers are maybe maintainers. Not the people I am calling out here. Nor actually the people it’s not their fault their face fits and they are great speakers. But the org!
I see the continued repeat speakers and face fits to speak at #KubeCon

I will not submit to speak or submit at the @CloudNativeFdn events because this has been a trend each and every year.

It’s not very community! I have stopped submitting for 2+ years now
I have created some data points here

docker pull michaelcade1/kc-app:v2
If you want to see my latest data set

docker pull michaelcade1/kc-app:v2
I see a group of people being accepted each year especially being accepted at both NA and Europe. Whilst some may be maintainers and I think this is right some are not!

Geoff & I are kicking something off this week

Our first episode will talk about our journeys from a systems admin based focus to adopting all things DevOps, Cloud, Kubernetes

Also looking at some of the interesting projects, tools, news in the space.

Good balance. I have been using copilot with Claude 3.7
I think I am going to “vibe” code a demo app this weekend.

Goals:

Microservice architecture
Golang flavoured
Data services galore

Something interesting and fun.
If there's one thing the Kubernetes ecosystem needs, it's another abbreviated name with a 'K' in it.
The important thing for me is that it was awesome to learn and share in public.

Feedback was amazing from the community.

Did you just need an inventory or what was the reason to have a look?
I will also check cloudquery out some more. It looks more security focused than Kollect planned to be but someone else politely asked about coupling inventory with security checks and best practices.
Sorry, just had some pretty rude comments and demands.

Thought don’t really need that and as much as I love building and learning in public, I think we can add more and make better and hopefully make public again.
Yes this is possible through Kanister. I am not sure if there is a community blueprint for Redis but it’s possible.

Send backup to said region / location

Restore into new cluster, this would be a new deployment of Kanister connected to same location profile.
I changed the Kollect repo from public off the back of some strange requests and PRs.

For now as a pet project I will keep tinkering and learning.

Needs more AI….
Sorry was driving, got back and listened back and it was

The Cathedral & the Bazaar

Have ordered them both
It was the book that Autumn got you for Xmas and then the other mention was the choice about silicon maybe same book?

Or might have been talk about open source and eMacs
@justingarrison.com great episode. There were two book mentions that I didn’t catch?
It's very overwhelming to consider lists on all these platforms.... I need a better way (again) to tackle:

- YouTube watch later
- Backlog of my podcasts (across spotify and audible)
- Audible long list of audiobooks!
- emails / reports / blogs
