Did I miss any updates on the investigation into the motive of Charlie Kirk’s killer? It feels like that just disappeared as a story, which is strange considering his exaltation within GOP and making his murder into a national event. I’d think we’d be getting hearing about it frequently

Even if CR is passed by Senate the House still doesnt have a Budget for after that.

I guess you dont need the Reps if you are just going to let the President spend whatever he wants from other appropriated funds ie military pay

I did try and look it up. Needs more research than random internet posts. SE Asia had use of pepper and “ long pepper” in cooking . Introduction of chili by Portuguese traders .. no details,on why Thais liked it so much.

One thing on China was use in salt poor regions by peasant farmers.

So what led for example, Thai cuisine , to adapt those chilis while other cultures didn’t?

Easy to grow in their climate? Food was already spicy either something else ?

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
