#IStandWithHamishSteele

Hamish Steele, the creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park has done absolutely nothing wrong other than daring to use his 1st Amendment rights against the unconstitutional ideology of Charlie Kirk.

He is beloved by his colleagues in the animation industry and deserves better.

I don’t need a movie to be rated R in order to be good. I need a movie to be good in order to be good.
I love Bluey. And anyone who tries to tell me otherwise needs to kill themselves!
Rumi wasn’t really gonna attempt it herself, she was pretty much asking Celine to do it for her.
Imagine being so upset that you can’t jerk off.

To the people comparing KPop Demon Hunters and Elio:

The headlines for reviews of the live action Cat in the Hat went hard
Miles Morales is Spider-Man!
It’s from his production company.
You can make the argument that they both dive into self acceptance or finding your place in the real world, but these people are just putting Elio down because it’s not making money at the box office.
You can still compare the new Superman movie to the other Superman movies. The comparisons just have to connect or have a reason. The comparisons between Elio and Kpop don’t work because they barely connect to one another and it’s clickbait.
I was just not happy with how clickbaity the video was.
Oh, you didn’t say that, I just wanted to avoid confusion.
And when I saw Twisters last year, I thought the best movie to compare it to was Top Gun: Maverick, seeing as they’re both legacy sequels that ended up being major improvements over their predecessors, not to mention how they both have Glen Powell and Joseph Kosinski involved in their productions.
I’m don’t have a problem with him preferring K-Pop over Elio, in fact I liked K-pop better as well, but this is clickbait. And there are some comparisons that do make sense, like with Disney’s live action remake of Pinocchio and Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of Pinocchio.
What the fuck do any of those movies have in common with each other?!

Is it REALLY that hard for the animation community to praise an animated film without making it about slamming Disney? Saberspark has never changed.
What’s the connection?

In light of Elio's release and a certain YouTube video, allow me to present the hot take you're scared to accept exists.

Don't get me wrong, I love all of these, though I've yet to watch Predator: Killer of Killers, Elio, and Win or Lose, but I hate the hypocrisy within this community just as much.
Remember when people would praise a movie without making unnecessary comparisons?
