Presidents’ Day is a time meant to honor the office of the President. But respect for the office doesn’t mean silence in the face of harm. Right now, we have a leader who is endangering democracy, targeting human rights and the well-being of our communities.
Call Your Representatives Presidents’ Day is a time meant to honor the office of the President. But respect for the office doesn’t mean silence in the face of harm. Right now, we have a leader who is endangering democracy, targeting human rights and the well-being of our communities. As people of faith and conscience, we believe in speaking truth to power. We are called to demand justice, to challenge oppression, and to protect those most vulnerable. Our democracy only works if we hold those in power accountable.
