That part of the game is always so interesting to me. I know Mettaton can be self-serving, but I've always interpreted it that he thought he owed Alphys. Their relationship is so complex and MTT is often seen as the true "villain" or... (1/3)

Another fun fact: the tiara is the same one I wore back then. It was stolen from his basement. So, he pretty much made this entire costume happen. 💖
