My fix for the Discord problem was to start managing people's expectations so that they knew it might take me anywhere from 5 mins to a few hours to reply. It takes the pressure off me, and as a bonus, if you're explicit about it then peeps will be way less likely to think you're spurning them.

I'm shaking your hand so much. I think similar reasons are why I've been less active on bsky — with increased people on my feed, and people following me, there's more to keep track of. More OCs I like, which leads to me trying to track/remember them, and it gets overwhelming. But they're so cool!
