if you want people to actually listen and change, you have to show them that you have their best intentions at heart. and you don't have to be the one to get people to change! but if we truly want a better world we do need to lead with kindness *when we are capable*

and, respectfully, if you initial response to the deep dive was "why is taran being nice to him" or "why isn't he immediately calling out his misogyny" perhaps this can be a lesson that we don't have to lead with confrontation to make change and speak hard truths to one another

These topics are easy to discuss online but having them in person, one on one, face to virtual face...it's difficult and uncomfortable! Most other interviewers, well-intentioned as they may be, tend to either ignore these subjects or confront them abrasively. #bb27
