To be a king, a crow requires subjects and subjects who want of a favor appear with offerings for the treasury. This crow supplicant has pulled it from the frame itself while his companion grasps for another.

The crow king demands obsequiounce from his flock. His subject bows in genuflection before her king. She too had plucked a humble offering direct from the frame in hopes of having her petition heard.
