We embarked on a journey to the #FerramontiDiTarsia memorial, a poignant reminder of history. Using cutting-edge tech, we captured the site's essence from a unique perspective. With #droneFootage, we're reconstructing the space in 3D, preserving its legacy for generations to come
This week, we presented our #publication "A Survey on Storytelling Techniques for Heritage on Nazi Persecution" at the #IVAPP2024 #conference in #Rome. The presentation showed how #visualStorytelling can be a powerful tool in conveying historical narratives with a focus on #NaziPersecution.

With this #digitalTool and the #digitization of the sources, we aim to offer access to these historical and diverse sources and make them accessible for research and the public.

Therefore, in the #MEMORISE Project, we are developing a #comparativeReaderTool, so that users can #explore and #juxtapose prisoners' biographical data and stories.

Among the prevailing #historicalSources, #diaries allow us to rediscover the personal stories of the victims.

In the concentration camp #BergenBelsen, the Nazis tried to erase the traces of their crimes by destroying the camp’s documentation. Of the more than 110,000 prisoners, at least 52,000 died. The names and fates of many of these prisoners are still unknown today.

A quick note to (especially) our #Danish readers: On February 14, an event on #MEMORISE will take place at the University of Southern Denmark. The lectures will be held in Danish and English, but will not be streamed online. So if you are interested and close to Odense, head over to the #SDU campus.

Of course, we are not the only ones working on such tasks. We dedicated the next panel to #relatedProjects. #HisNameIsMyName from #houseOfDarkness and the #AR project #ARt for art in the #concentrationCamp #Dachau
@DachauMemorial are just examples listed.

The next station is about YOU. How can we create a #concentrationCamp #visit for you that is both, #memorable and #authentic? Scan the #QRCode, put your #Smartphone on the #NFC terminal, and start typing your thoughts and ideas with the #typewriter.
