hating the audience of an ongoing franchise for being stupid is all fine and normal, blaming the audience for literally anything to do with the franchise's quality is what I like to call "falling for it"
big change in my perspective was realizing that sincerity is actually not what i respond to in creative works. many things in the world are sincerely shallow and vapid or even heinous, but more importantly many insincere works reflect a very fascinating philosophical struggle
