Tony Gwynn had more assists (590) in his 4 years of college basketball than strikeouts (434) in his 20 year MLB career. Go Aztecs.

The MLB offseason is starting off much more spendy than I anticipated, which seems like a good sign. 🤞🏻

How do the financials work for the Rangers in that deal if they are supposedly in cost-cutting mode?

John Mabry played 14 years in the big leagues and only once put up a WAR of 1.0 or higher and that was his 1.8 WAR in 89 games with the A's in 2002, which pretty much means he had the perfect career.
The Angels hired Brady Anderson as hitting coach AND John Mabry as assistant hitting coach.

I’m glad Ricky Tiedemann made the Jays 40-man roster because when I see his name I think of the Netflix series Dark, and Dark was a great series, so now I’ll probably get tot think about it more if he earns a regular role the big leagues.

We all know way too much about each other. I miss when dramas were mostly just on big screens or obliquely written gossip pages. Also when there was shame.

I hadn't thought about it until now, but given how the manager searches have trended, I'm kind of shocked Sean Doolittle wasn't one of the new manager hires this offseason. He'd be great at it.

I remember covering Gio in Triple A and a scout telling me he’d never make it as a starter because his extension wasn’t good enough. That memory makes me laugh and feel incredibly washed at the same time.

When you have a chance to lock up a prolific base-stealer for five years when he’s 28, you have to take it. In all seriousness, Josh Naylor is fun and I’m looking forward to seeing him play with Julio and Cal for the next few years.

With the rout on, seems like a good time for the Niners to see what they have in their backup QB.

This growing trend of Niners fans traveling well was surprising to me until last year when I finally made it to Levi's for a game for the first time and it took me roughly the same amount of time to get home as it would have to fly to like four different NFL cities.
