In 1952 my mother took her friend to get a back room abortion in NYC. Her friend had excessive bleeding and extreme pain and ended up having to have a full hysterectomy at 21. At the time my mother was in the X-Ray Tech program at Yale Hospital and the Police called to tell what she had done 1/2
