This is an image shared by my friend Sakher. It is either sunrise or sunset in this image, the sky tinged orange and brown with the rising blue-black plumes of smoke that emit from a swath of buildings that stretches from one end of the photo to the other. Most of the buildings are wrecked or nearly so. The damage, in my opinion, looks to be to the remaining infrastructure of the Gaza Strip. The scene can only be described as post-apocalyptic.

Those videos of people ‘pranking’ kids or pets (eg cracking an egg on a forehead, pretending they ate all the kid’s Halloween treats, only giving the pet two bits of kibble in their dinner bowl) are pure cruelty.

you actually don't need to have affective empathy to be a good person. if you don't feel sad when other people feel sad or whatever, that doesn't make you a monster.

it's your behavior and how you choose to treat others that decides your character. not the presence or absence of emotions.

Not to mention how the selective breeding to create a more profitable type has harmed those animals.

Especially with the knowledge that most modern pugs are deformed.

The way people seek out and choose a particular "kind of cat" or "breed of dog" is directly analogous to eugenics and supremacy. The deliberate breeding of other animals for profit to sell their kids as pets is directly analogous to the slave trade

Animal testing is wrong and should not be a thing in this day and age when we have the technology to test in other ways that don’t involve torturing and killing animals. Plus the data ends up incorrect because we do not have the same anatomy as rats.

She's part Nigerian from her mother's side but was born and raised in England. Her father is half fairy who took the greatest taboo in having a 1/4 mystic child. Seen as nothing but a liability to the mystic society. An insecurity that's been with her into adulthood.
