Like it's much bigger than Rei and I can see how being put in that situation could make someone feel like they have to keep it all together. Kira has to keep it together so Rei can keep it together for everyone else. It's a lot

Starting vol 4 and while I get what ol girl was sayin, that's an INCREDIBLE amount of pressure to put on Kira. Like yes support your partner but the way Kyoko was putting it made it sound like a huge weight. Especially mentioning how Akitaka is kinda living vicariously through Rei

normalizing operating without consent to little boys is more damaging. And master roshi was just straight up creeping on a little girl. Goku touched Bulma inappropriately without consent several times 🤷🏽‍♀️ but Dragonball is still "peak"

interest they were talking about and frankly he doesn't look much older 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk his age yet, but I wouldn't guess he was in hs. And like not even to go problematic content for problematic content, but if we can excuse these things in shounen why wouldn't shoujo get the same pass? Cuz I'd argue-

you wouldn't hear people say the same thing about Dragonball (master roshi) or Naruto (Jiraiya). We're just supposed to accept it in shounen bc "it was a different time", "this media is from a different culture", "it's not that serious", "it's a joke for boys". I'm assuming this cat boy is the love-

Also, lil tangent rant but it's very strange to me how much people criticize shoujo for doing the same things they do in shounen. I had a mutual tell me I maybe shouldn't read/watch this cuz there was an older boy love interest and it was "problematic and weird" (not their words exactly) but like-

I started reading this then didn't read for 2 days 💀 but I just finished the first vol and I think it's fun. At first I was like "idk guys" but I surrendered to the whimsy and I think I'll continue
