In 2018, I funded my own short. I ended up losing everything from both a corrupted disk drive, and the backup. I didn't have another and it cost me a lot. I'm honestly still not over it. It scarred my soul. However, if I shot it myself, I would have spent little. Lessons learned.

This was one of the best films I saw this year. Great slice of life with a well done reveal toward the end that reshapes the film. The little girl is the cutest. The performance and the IPhone photography were raw and incredible. Sean Baker’s editing was nice!

My Ram Kaichow video was blocked by the labels of King Crimson so I had to excise that music using YT. But this is still one of my favorite videos I've ever done. It's not even about Ram, or Buffalo 66, or Vincent Gallo but Art and how it connects.

In addition to it being the holidays, I’ve decided to potentially make just one more video (Saki Kashima) plus AEW recaps to finish the year before breaking for the rest of it. Possibly posting on the 31st December for the Meerkat’s 4th year anniversary of existing for Joshi content.
Friend recommended me this YouTube video from Sarah Davis Baker. She used to be a Cat YouTuber but did a hard pivot into video essays. Her reasoning video is well spoken and everything that I honestly feel about this whole content creation thingy.
