Is that somewhere along Spain's northern coast?

Their "solution" of collapsing (even unread!) comments and hiding them somewhere on the long page behind a "10 more comments" link is so horrible, as it often leads to people overlooking those.

I always assumed it has something to do with their data structure. Probably they don't store the code commented on redundantly in the DB, but link to the git diff.

But in recent times it seems to be more of a JS frontend issue.

While all correct, I can't remember any time in the past when GitHub had no issues with PRs with over 60 or so comments... their page was rarely able to load and display them all.

What do you mean by "effectively no breaking changes" - that nothing broke for your projects?

Cause breaking changes are mentioned in blog.rubygems.org/2025/12/03/4... and also for Bundler 4.

On dating apps it seems to be common practice to only chat with verified profiles, due to the large number of fake and scam profiles.

But here there doesn't seem to be such pressure yet,as you said.
December 18, 2025 at 1:46 PM
When your profile had verification I would know that... you run through some process to verify you are someone I don't know that uses a user name which may or may not match your real name. It's important, I guess.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

Watching Season 4 of Stranger Things I already had the impression they should have ended it after Season 3.

Yeah, it's a tricky concept. I'd assume when generational trauma exist, it would only be fair to declare generational guilt. Though not as individual guilt, but as the responsibility of the society.

And obviously it helps to classify the world and tell jokes. ;)

I'd say fuck your Polish self... but I guess us Germans kinda deserve it. πŸ˜„

Was ist die Jungle World denn für ein fragwürdiges Magazin? Haben die sich jemals kritisch zum Genozid geÀußert, oder ist es ihre einzige Mission Israel von jeglicher Kritik freizusprechen?

Restaurants often don't hand you a proper qualified invoice (which is numbered and enters the balance), but instead a "draft" (which looks almost the same, but never shows up on their balance).

Only when paying by card, you create a papertrail and ensure this income will be taxed.
November 11, 2025 at 10:31 AM
While this might be a reason why some people prefer paying with cash, that's definitely not the reason why business don't accept an alternative.

A taxi driver once told me bluntly: "I already invoiced 1000€ in card payments this month, therefore I only accept cash now."
November 11, 2025 at 10:09 AM
Evading taxes is so much easier, when taking only cash!

(imo the main reason why most German restaurants, bars, taxis and kiosks still insist on cash.)

I prefer using the default let! - but declare them first in a block separated by blank lines from the let statements (below) and the optional subject statement (above). I find those specs very readable and keep the optional before blocks shorter.

In Germany we say: "Der KlΓΌgere gibt nach". (~ The smarter one relents.)

In that sense I applaud πŸ‘πŸ½ your choices. Thanks for everything so far!

Not sure about the current state of Postman, but in the past you could avoid dependency to their servers by not using a Postman account. Obviously you are missing out on some features then.

AWS-East is down and many online services are struggling. The card payment service of the cafΓ© I was in stopped working as well.

And here in Spain this is a massive issue, as many people are not carrying any cash anymore.
I bet cash-loving Germany won't even notice. πŸ˜„
