i forget that i went off pokemon for years after sun and moon, absolutely horrid games to actually play through from beginning to elite four. Legends Arceus is what pulled me back in and made me catch up from USUM - BDSP

diamond and pearl
sun and moon
ultra sun and moon
sword and shield
brilliant diamond and shining pearl

I don't 'despise' any mainline entry, but if i was told i had to play any of these games i probably wouldn't have a great time

sonic frontiers is insane - because they make this decent NEW gameplay loop for sonic - then they put mini boost levels with the fucking sonic 4 episode 1 physics

mgs delta is interesting to me because it seems to learn nothing from mgs the twin snakes i.e. if you backport newer mechanics to an older designed game you will break the level design, it looks really nice though but im a bit of a purist for 'revised media' ( new term i'm coining )
