The BBC website coverage is noticeably bitter in tone.
Oh for a return to Liverpool Echo Readers' Letters! But you make a valid point, albeit one that underlines how the need for brevity undermines subtlety and creativity in the social media age.
As an ex-English teacher, can I invite all of you to my "middling adjectives and adverbs" class to be held after each drawn/lost game. We will be working on the avoidance of phrases such as "he's utter shite" or "he's fucking crap" and trying to establish a more appropriate phraseology. #UTFT #EFC
There was a gamble made in the summer IMO, go all out for a top CF, or hope that by improving productivity (JG, KDH etc), the CFs we do have score goals. Barry's numbers were good & we were all in favour, but he's not settled. Too much pressure? So I'm sure DM/THG will address this in January.
100% But I get peed off with "the end of the world is nigh" posts or questioning the manager, or suggesting some deep-rooted malaise for which there's no evidence. We are a developing team. We're doing OK, commensurate with expectations. No-one thinks the squad is perfect - still lots of work to do.
And FWIW, ask any coach the ACTUAL level of control they have tactically in any game, it's very limited, so anyone saying Moyes' tactics were rubbish, is talking arse. I'd argue they were great for 40 minutes, then players failed to execute for the restofthegame. It happens all the time.
Performative hyperbole from our supporters whenever we don't play like 1970 Brasil is frustrating. Are we better than this time last year? Yes. Is there evidence that we will continue to improve? Yes. Are we at the start of a very long journey back to the top? Yes. Will there be ups and downs? yes.
I hate to say, but these overly academic analyses don't help. Flag sha**ers aren't mulling over the historical drivers, nor contextualising their actions in the wider history of working-class struggle. This is mindless, thick-as-mince racism. The message is, we want to be white, and that's all.
There must have been such a low at half time yesterday, knowing that they should have been at least 2 up, then compounded by a relatively poxy equaliser. It would have been easy to fold - which we probs would have last few years - but we didn't and maybe/should have nicked it at the end. Onwards.
Post-match nonsense never disappoints. You would think that we were a fully formed, developed and matured squad, with real depth and multiple options. #efc #everton #coyb
Why are folks having a go at Beto, when KDH, Grealish, Garner, the ones making chances for him, disappeared 2nd half (and KDH most of first half too)?
I think they should try leaving Wembley, The Emirates or several other large venues I can think of. Getting 50k people away takes a while. Really not sure what some people think will happen.

I'm also starting to quite enjoy (and get used to) the walk back to town.
Jeez, some misery guts on this thread.
I was there yesterday. It was fantastic. Not being as focused on perf and result, I could take an observational step back. It was so impressive: location, facilities, ambience, atmosphere. All world class. There's no way it won't soon be considered as the primo sporting/ents venue for the North.
I'm going. I ordered the tix ages ago thinking it'd be a guaranteed chance of seeing sport at HD. As it's turned out, I've been successful in every ballot I've entered thus far, so needn't have worried.
I was talking about this the other day. In all fairness, those who'd been his teammates would undoubtedly feel it. But it's far too simplistic and actually quite disrespectful for supporters to make that the only issue. We've all lost work colleagues, but none of us stop working as a result.
KDH has been very disappointing last few games. Definitely tempted to give Charlie a go in there.
I don't think Beto himself thinks he's doing well at the moment. Dave from Huyton giving him incessant grief is unlikely to help him find form again. And more generally, we should always be publicly supporting our own.
I had an experience at the game yesterday that's new to me: an argument with another blue. A fella near me was giving Beto dog's abuse, my son mentioned him & I said well, he's wearing a blue shirt so we must support him. This bloke then starts having a go at me. I still think pelters achieve nowt.
I'm not doom and gloom today. We're desperate for a goalscorer, obviously, but if we're allowed a perfectly good equaliser, it's probably a different game. Their keeper had a worldy after that as well. Just one of those days.
I was in the North and definitely heard it, though probably coming from the Spurs fans. Not sure why they'd be against it, seeing as they're often victims of it.
I haven't got the time.
He's a bit one sided.

(Can you tell I've had enough of work today?)
