There 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 no 👏🏼 benefit 👏🏼. That’s not the setting for anyone to talk “at great length” about anything. God forbid something gets mixed up and it throws fuel on the fire. And what do they lose by not talking about it? People who already think they’re guilty still think they’re guilty?

There's already an official investigation happening—what would the team stand to gain by allowing more noise and speculation to occur in the media with additional quotes? They're already guilty in the eyes of the media (case in point ^^^), so naturally they'd air on the side of not saying anything.

And water is wet. Why would this come as a surprise to anyone, whether the allegations are true or total bullshit? They wouldn't have gotten any more from Kawhi than what he wound up saying, even if the team did allow more of those questions.
