A 6-car parade of Trump supporters circled the area for about half an hour, & the Open Carry Florida BBQ started at 11am. It made for an interesting event.

They are asking all residents that have found a healthy stray dog to consider joining the Finder Foster program. Instead of bringing the dog directly to the shelter, temporarily foster the pet while helping locate its owner; please call them at 362-671-8700 for more info.
👉 Adoptions of healthy dogs outside Kennel B will continue, while adoptions of at-risk or exposed dogs will be temporarily paused.
👉 Dog-to-dog meet and greets are suspended until further notice.
To minimize risk, they are implementing the following changes:
👉 Kennel B will be closed to visitors and volunteers for at least three days.
👉 Strict protocols have been implemented to ensure the best possible care for the dogs in B Kennel while reducing and preventing any potential spread.
Marion County Animal Services is temporarily modifying dog operations after a dog tested positive for Streptococcus zooepidemicus (Strep Zoo), a bacterium that can cause sudden illness or death in dogs. The bacterium is not contagious to humans.
