Continuing to keep the Campbell plant open when it was set to close months ago while passing the operational costs onto consumers is not helping our affordability crisis, it's hurt people's pocketbooks and polluting our environment. It's time to close it.

I am proud to have @dtvpac.bsky.social on Team McCann. It is more important than ever to ensure every voice is heard and our democracy remains strong. I am proud of my record in Michigan fighting for ballot access.
"It has never been more important to clean up the corruption that’s driving up costs for families and to stand up for our voting rights so everyone’s voice is heard."

Veterans Day reminds us to honor the brave people who fought, and continue to fight, for our country. My father's service overseas during the Cold War inspires me to this day. Thank you to all veterans for your courage and sacrifice.

Any deal that does not address healthcare costs is a deal that leaves people behind. In MI, my proudest accomplishment was a bipartisan expansion of healthcare to 750k people. I’m running to make peoples' lives better and bring down costs. This proposal does nothing of the sort.

The obsolete JH Campbell coal plant, slated for closure months ago but forced to stay open by Trump & Bill Huizenga is: costing $615K/day, raising your electric bills and polluting our environment. It’s time to shut it down as planned.

(2/2) While millions of Americans struggle with rising costs, @billhuizenga is nowhere to be found. He proudly supported gutting Medicaid and is now ripping away ACA tax credits.

Average Obamacare premiums are set to rise 30 percent, documents show
The price increases — affecting up to 17 million Americans who buy coverage on the federal marketplace — are by far the largest annual premium increases in recent years.

Rain or shine, it was amazingly inspirational to be at #NoKings rallies all across #MI04 today, including Allegan, Saugatuck & Douglas, Holland and South Haven. Shoutout to Kalamazoo for having 10,000 people out there! It was a great day fighting for our country and Democracy.

As the government shutdown drags on, American families are bearing the brunt of it. No one, including our military, should have to worry about putting food on the table. And the cost of Republicans' inaction shouldn’t be borne by our soldiers.

(2/2) …by raising health care costs on hardworking families who can’t afford it and will be forced to choose between life-saving medical care and feeding their families. It’s time for Huizenga to put #MI04 families first.

(1/2) A federal government shutdown causes unnecessary chaos for American families and workers and Washington should do its job and pass a budget that doesn’t raise health care costs. Bill Huizenga and Washington Republicans are playing with Americans’ lives…

There was such great energy in the room today at the @berriendems.bsky.social picnic. It’s always a pleasure to talk with you all and hear from the local candidates. Early voting begins in just two weeks, don’t forget to make your plan to vote.

This summer, Bill Huizenga voted for Medicaid cuts that affect over 160,000 people in #MI04. Yesterday, he voted to allow health care premiums to go up by more than 80%. Bill has made it clear, he doesn’t care if you can afford food and medicine. He only cares about billionaires.

(1/2) Talking to voters in #MI04, they know Trump’s tariffs are raising the cost of groceries and energy. I am running to lower costs for working people, not raise them to give billionaires tax cuts.

This will place further strain on our already over-burdened healthcare system and drive up health care costs for everyone. When I am in Congress, I will protect quality care for everyone and work to expand access to healthcare.

Over 1.1M patients in the US use Medicaid at @ppact.org health centers for essential care like cancer screenings and STI testing. Trump’s Big Ugly Law, applauded by Bill Huizenga, defunds these health centers, causing patients to travel farther and wait longer for important care.

I had a great time at the St. Julian parade in Paw Paw the other week. It is important to celebrate our farmers, producers and small businesses in Michigan. They help keep our local economy strong.

And you can’t beat an opportunity to walk with the star of every parade, Sparkle!

Virtually all major grocery categories are now more expensive than they were a year ago, however, some substantially so.
