Whooping cough cases are on the rise, and 2025 numbers are already higher than in 2024. Newborns and young children are at greatest risk of complications from the whooping cough. The Tdap and DTaP vaccines are effective at preventing whooping cough.

The best time to get the Tdap vaccine in pregnancy is 27-36 weeks to give your bodytime to pass antibodies to your baby before birth. Tdap should be given in each pregnancy.

I didn't realize how much this meeting would lift my spirits. In the midst of chaos, 1 OBGYN and 1 Addiction Medicine expert met with 2 state senators from 2 different parties. We talked about evidence-based data. We mentioned the points that we disagreed on, but we focused on our shared vision.
