26 states have slashed income taxes since 2021, meaning less revenue for basic needs programs. Now these states will be burdened with new SNAP costs thanks to the GOP tax bill.

Thanks to @npr.org, Montana Public Radio, and @kffhealthnews.org for highlighting the resilience and acute food security challenges of Indigenous communities. Today, MAZON is as committed as ever to working with our longtime Tribal partners to address the systemic problems that continue to persist.
SNAP was restored, but many indigenous Americans still struggle with food insecurity
During the government shutdown, disruptions in food aid rippled across reservations. Both residents and tribal officials had to make tough choices, and are still feeling the financial impacts.

Food is a human right. Not a privilege.

In the US, over 47 million people face hunger, including 1 in 5 children. We're fighting for long-term solutions.

This #HumanRightsDay, we're fighting to ensure no one goes hungry. Because respecting human rights starts with meeting basic needs.

Sec Rollins just threatened to withhold SNAP from states that won't hand over private recipient data, despite a federal court blocking exactly this kind of retaliation.

We filed suit earlier this year to stop USDA from collecting personal data and we won't stop protecting SNAP recipients.

You might have noticed higher prices at the grocery store this Thanksgiving.

While some families debate which dishes to cut from the table, millions more are going hungry because they can't afford food at all.

This Thanksgiving, hunger isn't about scarcity. It's about affordability.

Thanksgiving is a time to come together around shared values. This week, that's exactly what we did.

We led over a dozen national faith-based orgs calling on the USDA to resotre the Household Food Security Report.

Dismantling the Dept of Ed will create bureaucratic chaos, leaving students to deal with the fall out.

3 in 5 college students face basic needs insecurity.

Students should be focused on academic success, not wondering how they will meet their essential needs.

Thank you to the lawmakers fighting back against historic cuts to SNAP.

While we are past the November crisis, the fight to save the program is just beginning.

H.R. 1 slashes $187B from SNAP, the largest cut in the program's history.

We need policy solutions to undo the damage.

The attacks on SNAP and food insecure Americans continue.

Sec Rollins said SNAP recipients will need to “reapply” to the program in order to continue receiving benefits.

Most states already require SNAP recipients to recertify.

Our leaders should be removing red tape, not imposing new barriers.
