Last weekend was the 900th anniversary of the consecration of the beautiful St Mary's church in Whaplode, Lincolnshire. To celebrate, a historic Anglo-Saxon / Norman reenactment was put on display in the churchyard.

At the start of the year, I bought myself an electric 12-string Telecaster-type guitar for my 23rd birthday. I have since modified it with a set of Bill Lawrence humbucking rail pickups, and they're COOKIN'!

Throughout June, I built a fretless 'Partscaster' bass guitar for myself, using a second-hand body and neck, both bought off eBay. It's loaded with EMG Geezer Butler signature, solderless pickups.

The Chapter II album has now been out for a year! That album was very much a step forward for me, progressing as a musician, songwriter, and as a producer. Since then, an entirely new album has been recorded and will be out by the end of this summer, with any luck. 🎵🎶

I just had a super amazing evening, being at the live recording of Mick Wall's Monsters of Rock podcast. His main guest this week was none other than the legendary keyboard player, Don Airey. I was also fortunate enough to meet him in the bar afterwards and chat with him. I'm a wee bit starstruck.
