Concerned about Venezuela? These arepas taste like diplomacy done the right way
“Who are you wearing this evening?”
Because that way Trump can keep governing the way he likes it: no guardrails, no oversight, no negotiation, just executive orders and decrees.

I’m back in Venezuela, reporting on Trump’s pressure campaign.
Got on The Daily today to speak about it.

Is the U.S. Trying to Oust the Government in Venezuela?

Have them come up with 7 million signatures!
But that’s what I am, a liddle guy!
If you had to free a country under such rule you would have to appeal to every president in the region that isn’t aligned with the Vzlan regime, namely Trump’s, Meloni’s, etc. or do you think Zelensky really loves Trump?
The regime stole the past 2024 elections, has countless political prisoners in jail without any process, decimated the economy having the largest oil reserves in the world. Take off your old Che Guevara t-shirt. It reeks!
After 25 ys of the undemocratic Chavez-Maduro rule of Venezuela most people have no clue what is going on there. They think she doesn’t deserve any credit because the regime is “leftist”. In the past 6 mths several economists have been imprisoned for forecasting an inflation rate the gov. dislikes
He might as well give them a raise and gift them with a brand new car. This is the Chavez agenda from 2000 to 2010. Treat the military like they are some kind of elite, and eventually turn them against the civilian population

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize - her incredible optimism has already changed her country. I spoke to her, and wrote about her, at the beginning of this year:

Maduro is still in place, but a pro-democracy movement is transforming the beleaguered country.

Hmmm, he is pushing ahead because he can and no one is stopping him. 25 years ago Chavez dismantled Venezuela’s democracy while everyone, incredulously, commented “I don’t think he would dare” at every action. Forget polls. This is not a popularity contest
Bad Bunny’s half time show will be the most watched event in the history of the NFL thanks to this government
Crazy he has to clarify it is not illegal
He doesn’t trust the polls that favor him or the ones that don’t?
Haha. Understatement, which is funny
One of the deepest tragedies of migrant deportations is that so many came here drawn by what this country was meant to represent: a place where anyone could prosper regardless of race, religion, or identity. Today, the government insists that vision was an illusion
It’s ok not to show your face but at least show your swas*ika!
