Hey @thoughtpunks.com and friends, any good leads on layout software for students that don't have much experience? INDD, Scribus and Affinity have steep learning curves and only one is free. Any suggestions? I've suggested using vector design software as a viable alternative, but still looking.

Here is one of my design shortcuts, I just use little rectangles for spacing. Software tools are great if everything is the same size or shape, but I find it tedious when trying to align multiple elements, alternately I use a large shape within a shape, that works pretty well too.
