Just a sad puppet dancing to someone else's tune. Oh, and I also like Infinity Nikki, manga, and videogames, I guess.

It feels wrong to like this post, but try to get some rest and feel better. Losing a weekend sucks but being too sick to have fun sucks worse.

So I heard today that the cozy game Witchbrook that‘s been in development for nearly a decade was delayed into 2026 from it’s December release timeframe.

😬 I had a feeling that since we never had a firm release date yet this one would get pushed back.

Honestly I’m not feeling Good about this one
Uncle Sam wants you… to block the official US government accounts that came here to troll.

As tempting as it is to tell the 26 year old groyper running these accounts to piss off into the sun, real patriots know to block and starve them of oxygen.
I expect they're going to break records for the number of blocks on here

Viz Media announced they're releasing a limited edition of The King's Beast Volume 18

• Includes exclusive cover and a 32-page full-color illustration book

• You might get a potential "sucks to suck" if you can't lock in the pre-order on time
Hmmm. 🤔

This is taken from the press release where they announced the Corpse Party physical edition. It sure sounds like they didn’t get all the clearances to release two of the games and went ahead with it.

“Details on the digital availability will be provided at a later date“, huh?
I already have the Remaster of Corpse Party on Steam but I would have loved to have a physical copy.

While the Asian release has English, tariffs make it really dicey to import anything.

Needless to say, I’m very disappointed these issues weren’t worked out before opening up preorders
I played it way back on the psp and found its level of violence really off-putting. It’s far more extreme than the original game.

I notice that Blood Drive is not on PSN, just the original. Curious granted it was a PS vita exclusive for many years.
I’m betting the Corpse Party Tetralogy delay is either a licensing issue or a content problem with Sachiko’s Birthday or Book of Shadows.

I notice neither game is on the eshop while the original game and Blood Drive are.

Can’t comment on Sachiko’s Birthday but Book of Shadows is gruesome.
Finally some answers.

However they are not encouraging ones.

I freakin’ swear, between the mishandling of Dead Patient, the constant delays on Darkness Distortion and the general quality of the sequels to the original game, the franchise is more cursed than Heavenly Host Elementary
Corpse Party fans:
We've run into an unanticipated complication with the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack that could prevent its release. As a precaution, we have stopped physical pre-orders. We appreciate your support and patience and will provide more details when we can.
I preordered the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 OST. All 150 plus tracks on 8 CDs.

I was just going to buy a few of my absolute favs on iTunes but all the Renoir boss themes were marked album only.

That’s just mean as these are arguably the best tracks in the game.
If they still warm from the dryer, you get an extra ten minutes of incredibleness.
Now that I’m on a gaming detox, my new hobby is watching clips of streamers playing Expedition 33.

My favorite genre is watching them get so caught up when the epic boss fight music kicks in that are completely unprepared for the boss to unleash a water fowl dance wombo combo on them.
Vampire Survivors somehow manages to do crossovers with the most unlikely games.

The two point sims is even more of a head scratcher than that time they did the SaGa Emerald DLC.

It was so fantastic that I can’t wait to play it again with the full understanding of the story.

But I’m also sad that you can only experience it without knowing where the plot will go one time. It will never hit as hard as it does the first time.
I finished Expedition 33 last night.

It was pure cinema. Extraordinary. Genre defining.

I think I need to stop gaming for a while. This was so good that everything is going to suck in comparison.

What an incredible game. Damn near perfect in every way that counts.
Now that Final Fantasy Tactics is out, I can go back to predicting FF9 remake at every game announcement event.

not that there are many left this year. I think the Game Awards is the last major one.
Been sacrificing my sleep to play it. I put it off for way too long and it’s so good.
Expedition 33 is heartbreakingly beautiful when it isn’t just plain heartbreaking.

Just the way the scenes are framed is like a moving painting. I love how the environments fluctuate between dreamlike and nightmarish.

The only bad thing is those platforming challenges.
One thing that I really appreciate about Expedition 33 is how funny some of the character interactions are.

They managed to work in moments of levity into what is a grim story so it isn’t a non-stop pain train.
it is fantastic.

Though watching Lune walking around barefoot is giving me heartburn. How are her feet not being destroyed by rocks and splinters? I mean she levitates but not all the time.
I wish for a new Dissidia game.

This thought occurred to me: Atelier Yumia is the anime version of Expedition 33.

It will never stop being funny to me that a ton of JRPGs dropped turn based combat to be more new comer friendly only to have the two biggest RPGs of the last ten years (Bg3 and Exp 33) be turned based.
