2/3) Amazingly my two entries work: 'Warp' and 'WhyNot' ; 'Warp' is my entry to the demoscene competition and 'WhyNot' was a crazy "let's do it in one day" last minute entry. Both work on actual ASIC!! How cool is that?

We sent an ASIC to space.

Then we asked a nuclear engineer what would happen to it.

A deep dive into radiation, bit flips, orbital hot spots, and what it really takes for silicon to survive in low Earth orbit.

🚨Our film is up
We spent months making this👇
About how Britain shut down many of the factories we need to feed us and defend us.
Will have more to say on it in due course but in the meantime - pls watch, share and let me know what you think youtu.be/PQ3hT8tqZgo?...

I interviewed Parth Thakkar, now a firmware engineer at Apple, about how he taught himself #embedded systems beyond university classes. His story is a great reminder that consistency and hands-on work can matter more than credentials.

Graph shows frequency over time - why do you think it has a ~3 minute oscillation?

What if I tell you the signal comes from a skull shaped ring oscillator?

This open source silicon is currently sending data from low earth orbit, 500km up!

And the satellite is slowly spinning!

For the first time, open silicon wasn’t just a niche experiment in 2025 - it was a real ecosystem spanning three fabs and thousands of designs. And then one company collapsed and hundreds of chips effectively disappeared overnight.
