I am now in the Bluesky mine. There'll be food on the table tonight.
Another LP from my collection. Nothing like some '80s Dutch rock with Henk Jonkers and Geert de Groot. Produced by Vic Maile who also worked with The Godfathers and The Screaming Blue Messiahs.

Some Scottish pop perfection from my collection.

Deacon Blue
Raintown (1988)

Some Cope from my collection. This doesn't reach the heights of his magnificent Saint Julian, but it's decent and a move towards a more commercial sound.

Julian Cope
My Nation Underground (1988)

And more Clash from my collection.

"This Is Radio Clash" 12" single b/w "Outside Broadcast" (1981)

Love the A side no doubt! The B side is unnecessary. A deconstructed mess imo.

One would think this was from The Onion, but, alas, no.
September 24, 2025 at 10:16 PM
More Clash from my collection.

"Rock the Casbah" 12" single b/w "Mustapha Dance" (1982)

Synchronicity by The Police was available in 36 cover variations, with different arrangements of the color stripes and showing different photographs of the band members. And the original record vinyl is purple (purple color only seen when held up to a light bulb).

A necessity in my collection.

The Clash
Combat Rock (1982)

The last album before Mick was kicked out.

I had the CD since the '80s, but got the record from my brother when he was getting rid of his small record collection.

More from my collection...

Rosanne Cash
Somewhere in the Stars (1982)

Bought this one off of my buddy Bob when he was selling off his collection and I had it bad for Rosanne. 😁 She covers two songs by John Hiatt on this one and that's all goodness to me!

It's always nice when a record guy shows up at the community yard sale in a supermarket parking lot.

New to #RecordsOnTheShelf

Loudon's Therapy cost me $6, but I pulled the other one from the dollar bin. I also picked up the Insiders from the dollar bin.

Billy Bremner
Bash! (1982)
Catchy stuff!
Bremner has played on multiple albums by...
Nick Lowe
Dave Edmunds
Jim Lauderdale
Carlene Carter
and on Rockpile of course!

Nice find from the 99 cent bins from my local record shop a few years ago.

From my collection...
The Blasters
Over There
Mini live album from London (1982).
Purchased on vacation at a small record store in Mystic, Connecticut in 2016. And, yes, I did go to Mystic Pizza 🍕😋, but I didn't see Julia ☹️.
September 19, 2025 at 12:38 AM
BAD 12" remix of "Free" (1990) from the Flashback soundtrack b/w "The Bottom Line" (1985).
September 17, 2025 at 12:41 AM
And still more BAD from my collection! 12" remixes of "James Brown" b/w "If I Were John Carpenter" (1989) from the forthcoming Megatop Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 which was the last album with the original lineup.
September 16, 2025 at 2:23 AM
What? Even more Dynamite? 🧨 YES!!!

"Other 99" 12" single. Mick sure can write a catchy tune!
September 15, 2025 at 12:51 AM
Great Christmas gift for that special Murray in your life!
September 14, 2025 at 1:25 PM
More Dynamite! 🧨

"Just Play Music!"
12" single remixes (1988).
September 13, 2025 at 11:09 PM
Going back through my record collection.
Big Audio Dynamite "V. Thirteen" 12" remixed single b/w two versions of "Hollywood Boulevard." (1986)

You probably don't know how much I love these remixes. 😁

I went to a community yard sale in a park this morning. There were about five guys selling records, but the prices were too ridiculous for the most part. The $2 (or 3/$5) CDs were more my speed.
