As the hymn Christ the Lord is Risen Today says, ‘Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!’ So let’s enjoy mocking and remember: evil has no place here. #HappyHalloween 🕯️👻
Halloween, or All Hallows’ Eve, began as a way to mock death and evil—showing they hold no power over us. Today, dressing up as skeletons, pumpkins or witches can still be a statement that we’re unafraid.
Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃 I know some Christians don’t agree with Halloween, but I see it as a unique tradition with deep roots.
We also enjoyed a fun and creative Messy Church session. It’s such a joy to step back and see members growing in confidence and leadership — God is truly at work in our community. 🙏💛

#MuswellHillMethodist #ChurchFamily #CelebrationSunday #MessyChurch
Today we celebrated a truly special Sunday at Muswell Hill Methodist Church. One of our Local Preachers marked 50 years of preaching, and our amazing organist celebrated 40 years of faithful service as church organist! 🎉
Great to see Andy’s Man Club displayed at King’s Cross.
Fab night with the Andys Man Club facilitators celebrating two years at Euston 🙌. A real blessing to spend an evening out with authentic, spiritual people – the kind of company that lifts you up. Grateful for the laughs, the conversations, and the journey we’re on together #AndysManClub
It’s striking, isn’t it? You know those hotels where people sometimes stand outside protesting, shouting “go back where you came from”? Meanwhile, it’s the people inside those hotels who are helping to revive the church.

Makes you wonder — are the ones outside the hotel also showing up to worship?
Great Bible study at Finsbury Park — 15 of us gathered, and 9 came from the local hotel.
Well done to Gary Lineker on winning NTA Presenter of the Year 👏👏👏

Interesting that the BBC never got Rylan in for having an opinion… 🤔

“Perhaps it’s ok to use our platform to speak up on behalf of those who have no voice.”
– Gary Lineker

Today marks the beginning of the new Methodist Connexional year, and I step into my 8th year of ministry. Grateful for the journey so far, for the people I’ve walked alongside, and for the grace that continues to lead me forward. Here’s to another year of service, growth, and faith. 🙏

A prayer for start of the new Connexional Year.

O Christ of the morning,
You who sang the stars into being,
Sing again into our hearts today.

As a new year unfolds,
we walk into the next chapter of your story,
the next line of your song.
A relevant book for today

It was great hearing @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social speak at @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social. @hlunn.bsky.social and I enjoyed it. I'm so glad to be a Methodist Minister in Jeremy’s constituency. I hope we can do more together!
What I love about @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social is how inclusive it feels — it gives me real hope. It’s good to be challenged, inspired, and learn new things, not just entertained.
Just back from a great weekend @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social. It was so good catching up with friends, hearing inspiring talks, and sharing in a powerful Communion.
At Lords Cricket with @hlunn.bsky.social to watch the Northern Super Chargers #TheHundred
Today I bought @hlunn.bsky.social a washing machine. Who says romance is dead? 💕🧺”
💜 Loved leading the service at MHA The Meadow dementia care home today. So moving to hear everyone singing “How Great Thou Art” — with a few joyful shouts, a surprise piano accompaniment during my talk. Moments like these make it extra special.

I said the same when KR smashed Salford – the @therfl.bsky.social are to blame! Nothing good about this half-time score, other than it helps FC’s points difference. You don't see many half-time scores like this in the NRL! Not a good advert for Rugby League at all, and I feel for the Salford fans.
50–0 to Hull FC at half-time.
Fair play to FC for playing what’s in front of them, but this scoreline is embarrassing for the game.
