Hello!

I am Matt, a solo dev working on Frenzy, a pixel art demake of the Far Cry genre with an original story told from an ecofeminist perspective.

"Skittle-haired"? Like, the candy?
Interesting. But yeah, I was a huge Car Wars/Autoduel fan back in the day and that was plenty violent, so I'm suspicious that was the reason.
Does not liking any episode of The Simpsons that didn't come out in the '90s another version of this? I'm hoping no.
In the 80s and 90s they had these sort-of creepy commercials where old men would give Werther's to kids like it was this amazing thing to do and it kind of put a lot of us off of them. Though ironically it won't be much longer before we ourselves are grandfathers.
A network television show of all things. At least be as cool as an aging millennial and talk The Wire to death instead.
Oh man you weren't kidding about the replies 😅
Years after working in retail I have much more sympathy for the in-store managers - their salaries are so meagre and they *really* have to deal with the corporate assholes above them. Some of them of course were also assholes 😅
Every corporations does evil shit. Just because it isn't always so tangible doesn't mean it's not happening elsewhere. I'm not going to become a monk.
It seems like survival horror is one of the genres that is best suited to VR. I'm surprised there aren't more of these.
Is it weird to say that I still really like my Series X, and that despite the price increase I'm still subbed to Game Pass Ultimate? If so, then never mind.
I have to watch that eventually, the first was incredible but also pretty brutal. It left me in a bit of a funk for a few days 😅 Apparently they inspired Rockstar's Max Payne 3.
"The one where the blonde-haired woman performed mitosis and had a clone fall out of her onto the couch"
I didn't know the still blacked out games. I can't really fathom a world where thousands of fans hoping to catch the game on TV would go out and spend hundreds of dollars apiece on tickets instead because the TV is blocked.
😅 his books was big in the late/post-Cold War era when a lot of people kind of secretly wished we had gone to war with the USSR. His stories were an outlet for that.
Biblical winds and rain are hitting a very vulnerable country but according to CNN the #2 concern is that locals can't get on TikTok.
I have this weird thing where I'm convinced James Patterson is dead and people are just nicking his name for the brand cachet (such as it is) but it always turns out he's alive and I think I'm actually thinking of Tom Clancy.
Ah, that's what threw me off, I was going to guess II but I only played the PC version.
Kudos for spelling the name of the day with an apostrophe - the proper 1980s vintage Canadian way!
Don't forget when Mitt Romney did know what a donut was! So much food-related political hilarity.
Landline phones aren't for kids, y'all.
