My brain reminds me often that there are many stored memories, waiting for me to unlock, and I think that is purposeful, because it makes every day interactions an opportunity to rediscover a old part of myself I may have forgotten about. #booksky #author #teacher #education

I sat on an empty park bench today watching the world go by. People hurried past without noticing it, but for me, it was a quiet place to catch my breath. Sometimes, what looks unremarkable to everyone else can be exactly what you need.

The first time I realized you could create a spark by shuffling your sock-covered feet on the carpet and then touch a door knob, I knew right away I was going to try it on something else.
I also learned that day my mom doesn’t have a good sense of humor.

Is there anything more satisfying than the sound of a vacuum uncovering a hidden patch of dirt in the carpet? Of course, there are plenty of things, but that doesn’t make the small pleasure of it any less enjoyable.
