No formal plans to present this exact session again, but I am glad to share resources from this event and answer any questions about AP Precalculus. My email is [email protected].
#NCTMATL25 Materials from Session 288: AP Precalculus for ALL: Access and Support for Your Students uploaded to the app. Keep in mind that the app will be inactive in 1 month. Download now while thinking about it. #NCTM #APPrecalculus
We edited a slide in the middle of our session. Type A and typos made me do it.
The info on implementing captions was easy to follow and I used it in my session. Should be listed higher up on the information page to make sure more do it.
I’ll be sharing at the #NCTMATL25 Annual conference. Session 288: AP Precalculus for ALL: Access and Support for Your Students on Friday, October 17 at 11AM in Georgia World Congress Center, A302. Excited to be co-presenting with Laurie McDonald. #NCTM

@queenmather.bsky.social great to hear the Queen Mather herself at the PCTM annual conference!
Ugh! The AI tutor called reciprocals opposites. Later if we tell the student that 4 and -4 are opposites by the AI definition here 4 and -4 are reciprocals.
This will be an amazing conference. One of the keynote speakers will be @eluberoff.bsky.social.

20x20 is 400, but that is one 20 too many. So, 380.
10x6 plus 5x6 is 60 plus 30 or 90. Then divide by 10 because it was 6 tenths and not 6 that we really want to use. So, 9 is the answer.
High school geometry. For great problems, there are so many approaches. I’m not talking about parallel lines and write an equation to solve for x. Ick.
So excited to see items I have created being used in new ways. I created this to use in a college intro stats class. We did it as a Stand and Talk which I learned about at NCTM Annual 2018 with @saravanderwerf.bsky.social
I had my college students choose two and then describe why they read them and what they learned. They need to understand that all students can be math students.
#MTBoS This is a great resource to help all students see themselves as mathematicians. Very powerful stories. maa.org/wp-content/u...
