Spot on. I worked at a co. in Waco TX. The leadership were ex-military, all white men. Breathtakingly incompetent while insisting they were great.

I used to use the python console all the time too. Now that I'm used to jupyter, I almost never use the console. I love it for the "try stuff until you figure it out" part, because you can save only the working units of code and annotate what each one is doing.
