One thing is law and order and tough on crime policies to effectively eradicate crime.

Another thing is using unconstitutional authoritarianism to eradicate crime.

Whole another thing entirely is brutalizing innocent civilians and show the criminals that law enforcement doesn't care about crime.

I so hope America doesn't disappoint me. I'm going to see Arch Enemy that day, so that will be pretty fitting. The last several protests were lackluster at best. But now I think that Trump crossed the line so much that it's impossible for every future protest to be massive and historic.

How can you tell? AFAIK, politicians usually don't gatekeep who attends their campaign events and anyone can come. Let's not forget that primary campaigns can and often do attract new primary voters and that's what democrats need.

I like to think that if this regime doesn't get overthrown, Republicans will turn America into Christian Middle East. Just like Iran is a Shia theocracy fighting for regional hegemony with sunni theocracies, I expect creation of protestants and catholics fighting for American hegemony.
