I have all these games, but I have no games. Catch me on Twitch when I decide I'm willing to stream again. https://www.twitch.tv/massdefect1

My thing has always been underappreciated RPGs. Here are a few that I think everybody should try:

-Lost Odyssey
-Star Ocean (Any but 5)
-Ever Oasis
-7th Dragon III: Code VFD
-Etrian Odyssey (Any of them)
-Sands of Destruction
-Rogue Galaxy

There's many more, but these are my go-tos.

Twitch thinking about implementing AI clipping tool, this means yalls voice is gonna be scraped.

You better vote against it.

Also if you want some non-formative stuff go back to 2005-2010 and play basically any kind of RPG that launched on the PS3 and Xbox 360 that doesn't have "Final Fantasy" in the title. Infinite Undiscovery has some weirdly ahead of its time features despite being... uh... stupid.
you don't have to talk about the latest releases all of the time. go dig through the 2010's and you'll find a lot of cool, really formative things to the industry at large.

Despite everything I've finally got basically everything done in Legends Z-A. Now I just have to wait for Home functionality so I can dump this living dex into it.
I'm starting to think the fact every Artist archetype trainer in Z-A having PokΓ©mon who instantly use explosion might be a cry for help from the development team.
Holy shit these ranked battles in Z-A are not fun. I'm already debating if the greninjite is worth it.
I wish Michigan had more cons that were big enough that my online friends would fly out here instead of me having to face my fears and fly out elsewhere.
I legitimately can't get over how much of a step back Legends Z-A feels for me compared to Arceus. It's like a polar opposite in almost every way. Really wish I had more nice things to say about it because contrary to popular belief I don't take joy in hating on games.

I’m at the point where I am just not willing to spend time seriously discussing whether games are art. yes. obviously. I’ve written for Pathologic 2 & 3. come back with a warrant.
Finally done with Z-A. The final section was okay but overall this is probably still my least favorite Pokemon game outside of the original X and Y. Seriously cannot fathom how they make some of these decisions for these games still.
Once again BeatBreak going insane on making sure we all know what a freakazoid Gekkomon is.
I'm still stuck on Boss 2 above and she keeps kicking my dumb ass. The final boss below though I got SO close to beating already and I'm so mad lmao.
My best descriptor is "If you liked Arceus then you'll hate this".
I'll give Z-A one thing: I actually liked how they portrayed the Rust Syndicate. Goofy, but not heavy-handed. But I'm still feeling the repetitive nature of the story and gameplay loops already and am getting insanely bored. There's just so little exploration in this game to sell me on the city.
If anyone tries to tell me that Legends Z-A is somehow a better monster tamer than Time Stranger, I'm going to have to politely inform them we cannot be friends and also launch them into the sun.
Z-A Update: They do add more Wild Areas over time but I still feel like there's just no good reason to catch Pokemon outside of getting the bare minimum for a team and maybe to spot check specific mega fights. Also if you thought Earthquake made the OG games easy mode then hoo boy this ain't better.
Like, even if it was meant as a "joke" it wasn't exactly a very good one. Seriously just embarrassing amounts of ego on display in that discord based on some of the screenshots I've seen.
GEKKOMON DLC. GEKKOMON DLC. GEKKOMON DLC.
That's not even to mention the fact that the act of catching Pokemon here is just not fun. Wild zones suck, you get swarmed easily while sneaking up on any other Pokemon, and they just decided to negate pokeball spam by forcing you to wait a set amount of time every few throws because reasons.
I legitimately feel like I may be the only one who will say this, but I actually wish they had brought back the combat systems from Legends: Arceus. I liked that turn order manipulation system and it really just needed some adjustments here and there to get some real depth.
See I love Chikorita so I was happy with it, but was just concerned when nobody else got anything different either lmao
