Here's Astra Protocol 2 running on an "ideal" setup

CRT monitor ✔️
Chunky Macro keyboard ✔️
Logging to dot matrix printer ✔️
Physical user manual ✔️

The only thing missing is running off of a floppy disk 💾 (the game still fits on one)

Do you have an ideal setup?

Love this! I feel like a suitably warm and dusty desk lamp would be a good addition too

I saw a talk by James not too long ago and it was fascinating, always meant to pick this up! I also seem to spend a lot of time deliberating the age of old pubs now too..

Thank you! They're fairly modern bricks, but I'm trying to get a more specific date as to when they might have been laid
martynaudio.bsky.social
are there any brick experts here on Bluesky... asking for a friend (not really!) Maybe you know someone @derbyshirearch.bsky.social ? Please repost!

A bit of Autumn appreciation at @nationaltrust.org.uk's Hardwick Hall, always a pleasure meandering around the gardens here

The 'Digital Flowers Of Doe Lea' is a commission piece I worked on for Bolsover District Council - based on the Dancing Flowers Of Doe Lea sculpture created by Tonkin Liu. The full interactive piece will be available online soon.

I wonder if anyone still has their 'Derbyshire Egg Station' uniform?!

On #WorldEggDay meet Mary Ward busy at Thornhill and Sons, Great Longstone in 1955. She checks egg quality by using a bright light to illuminate the egg's interior, making the shell transparent. Of course nowadays all done by automated machines.
#PhotoFriday
A woman with neat short brown hair, wearing a white overall with the words Derbyshire Egg Station embroidered on it, holds white eggs against a light. There are trays of eggs behind her.

Out of focus, motion-blurred.

Out of focus view of the bay and the town and the mountains beyond.

I've been checking backups of my previous projects archive recently and finding a few unfinished ideas... here's a little video I made when my album 'CLARA' was released... best on headphones!

Some strong vibes coming from the building next to our hotel in Manchester this weekend...

It's been well over a year now since I recorded this C15 edition for Human Geography Recordings, not sure where that time has gone! If you've never been to #SuttonScarsdale here in Derbyshire, I'd definitely recommend a visit...

On #PhotoFriday we visit Ripley in 1932 when you might have been surprised to see the Loch Ness monster taking a stroll along Cromford Road. But don’t worry, this magnificent beast was taking part in Ripley Carnival and definitely friendly!

#EYAMonsters #1930s
The Loch Ness Monster made from a long length of fabric and a papier mache head. You can see children’s legs underneath and standing alongside is a man dressed in a kilt and sporran, and a child carrying a sign reading 'Loch Ness Monster Beware Do Not Touch'.

Always nice to see a bit of original road / path surface hiding underneath the tarmac, some fairly chunky stones there!

That's all the cassette releases I've published via the MTN Bandcamp, but there's also 'Engine Vein' and 'A Question of Belief' that are digital only. (Also two tapes on Human Geography Recordings complete the discography...)
