Every week people at all career stages are speaking up in public, newsworthy ways and could be part of even more @nytimes.com stories on the consequences of impacts of cuts to federal investment in science, scientists, and communities nationwide.

Whether or not we listen to them is a choice.

I am so proud to be a member of @apha.org right now. They are getting it right on public health. Other US health and medical societies need to be taking notes.

CDC has stopped nearly all comms & ACIP work groups have stopped prepping for the Feb meeting. Why are we not hearing more from the liaison professional orgs that support public health and vaccines?

👉AAFP, AAP, AAPA, ACHA, ACNM, ACOG, ACP, AGS, AHIP, AMA, ANA, AOA, APhA, IDSA, PIDS, ASTHO, SHEA etc
The silence is deafening.
A physician member of the AMA—who requested anonymity for fear of retaliation—is sounding the alarm.

“The current admin prohibited all communications of the CDC and other agencies with the public. Now, the public and physicians are left with no info on food recalls or disease outbreaks.“
