Hey hey! Just a quick intro as my first post here!
I’m a 3D artist, focusing on creating game-ready props, environments and vegetation.
I love challenges and finding clever ways to do things 🙃
Open to remote opportunities!

No worries, it’s looking good regardless! 😄
Do you have iterative saves of the project? Might be able to get shots from those. But yes, seeing the blockouts and the progress from those will be cool as well :)
Yeah, definitely! Perhaps even a timelapse if you have shots from similar angles
Very cool! Was really nice to see the WIPs and the end result is looking very clean! Great job!

Hiya bluesky, guess what, I'm finally done with my bike (for now)
I'll be back to it one day.
It's been a journey but damn am I proud of it.
So here is a turnaround of my bike in all her glory.
(I'll be sharing more of it on bluesky in the next few days but you can already check the artstation post)

Haha, nice! I better get back to designing it - it’s been left on the backburner for a bit

Flow was made in Blender and cost only $3.7 million -- but it defeated Hollywood at the Oscars.

This is a huge moment for its team. It's just as huge for European animation, and the ecosystem that nurtured Flow, Robot Dreams and so many other films: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/flow-takes...

An extremely random thread on how I keep track of the tasks and the progress I make for this personal project

tl;dr: I have a list with tasks that are sorted by priority and complexity and a separate page where I add short notes and screenshots any time I do smth for the project.

Nice, thanks for sharing! Which board software do you use for tracking?

And here it is! One of my biggest personal concepts yet, this cathedral is the basis for a revamp of my storybook project.
After almost 2 months working on it on every bit of free time I had I'm done!

Over the years, I’ve been asked by mentees, colleagues, and students how to become a better environment artist— Since this is a more nuanced and personal process, I thought summarizing my thoughts in a blog post would be the most helpful approach.

Bit of progress on the highpoly of my rocking horse.
Been mostly focusing on subdiv modelling and figuring out the junctions between pieces.

Thanks!
Yeah, subdiv and bevel with weighted edges for the hard surface parts.
Might use ZBrush for some extra details, but will see.
For the rope and mop hair I'll most likely make a separate tiling strip on the texture that I can map the pieces to.

Hello Bluesky ! Giving this platform a go, hoping it doesn't follow in Twitter and Meta's footsteps... I'm a fantasy illustrator and concept artist absed in France. Here are some LOTR fanarts I've made recently.
I'll gradually upload my work here, follow me if you want to see more ;)
If you have Marmoset Toolbag, you could use that to bake meshes to a plane
