It's rainy day in Portland today, so I started another Cloudberry Scarf Bandana. This time, Tahki Homespun Donegal Tweed 100% wool worsted yarn from my stash, & size 9 (not 5) needles. It will be substantially larger than the last one. The free pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Cloudberry Bandana Scarf is a super easy knit. 1x1 rib staggered every 2 rows with decreases at each edge row. Knit on size 5 needles with Berocco Ultra Alpaca from my stash. 1-1/3 skeins. The pattern is free here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

So sorry, but I've not seen this pattern, or knit it before. What's the issue for the sadness? Anything that could be viewed on a YouTube tutorial? Maybe do a search on YouTube and see if someone else has successfully knit it?

The Scandinavians pin the garment to the blocking boards and then spray it with a mist of water. I find that's a much better method than dunking in water, squeezing, then pinning.

I worked for Sidney Pollock during the post production of Out of Africa. He invited me to join a dinner with he & Bob Redford. It was an interesting conversation about projects, writing, development & scripts. A talented man, but mostly, you were nice & that's what I'll remember most.

I redid the art in a corner of my family room. I framed all the bird prints myself, from an Italian calendar. I sprayed the mattes black so they'd be cohesive. I had 3 of the 4 frames, got the top right one yesterday from FB for $10. Love it. #thrift #art #marketplace #birds #decorate #diy #prints

I recently saw this on glorafilia.com & marveled at using embroidery & needlepoint together. I really love the idea of it & intend to give it a try. I found these two pewter birds on FB Marketplace yesterday. They seem quite happy in my dining room. In Portland we have a saying, "put a bird on it," so I did! 😀
