When I started researching my #DorothyArzner biography, I didn’t realize just how prominent her partner #MarionMorgan was. They really were a #Hollywood power couple. I know so much more now because of the safekeeping done by #archives and #publiclibraries.

Researching my #DorothyArzner bio + writing an article 4 a collection on women filmmakers edited by @shelleystamp.bsky.social + it is staggering how many newspapers call Arzner some version of the "first" woman director despite so many successful predecessors. But this is a great pic w/ #IdaLupino!
