While this might be news to most, it is a fact to the manservants, maids, and chamberlains of his Infinite Summer Palace, the heart of his empire and proof of his endless might. Vast beyond fathoming, the Palace contains an entire city of courtiers, all working to ensure that the King will be pleased… when he returns. In absentia, the question remains: who is really in charge? Is it the Odelisque Admiralty sailing the Flooded Northeast Wing? Is it the Cupbearer's Guild, the royal sin-eaters devouring any traces of poison? Or is it the mad Master of the Hunt, the Ratscrew Kids hiding in the walls, or one of the ten thousand assassins waiting for the King's certainly inevitable return?

Yeah, I've got one of those cursed rings that fills your mind with blasphemies and compels you to betray all you know and love, but it's on so many layers of ruinous schemes that it's kinda lost the plot.
