That scene where he prebuffs like 50 spells in a row including Body of Effulgent Beryl and Twinned and Maximized spells before engaging in a tough fight made me feel seen as a Pathfinder 1st Edition / 3.0 / 3.5 player. I actually watched it when I saw that clip (you might have sent it to me).
I know your timeline might be full of hoax posts today, but my April 1st tradition is to release a free book that seems like it must be a joke but is actually serious and balanced for your game. I feel like it's more fun that way. This year, why not play as a deity? battlezoo.com/products/fre...

You're welcome! I think it says something that one of the responses was from someone asking for a page ref because their players needed the example 😆
Today in random humorous game design, I learned from Google docs that your attribute flaw is "the Constitution."
Weird and wacky characters can be as memorable in TTRPGs as they are in other games, books, movies, TV shows, and more, but sometimes it can be in all the wrong ways. Join us for tips and tricks on how to build and play a weird and unique character your group will love!

In TTRPGs, teamwork can allow you to succeed better than selfish loner play. But on the other extreme, you can have groupthink where the party becomes a hivemind and makes poor decisions. In today's video, we examine the pitfalls of teamwork and how you can avoid them! youtu.be/a9NZ5LFQxS8

One of the hardest things to do in a TTRPG, is to back down and change your mind or strategy. This applies in and out of game and can be especially tough when you're sure you have what it takes to win or that you're right. Become a more effective player and GM! www.youtube.com/live/CYoCCUz...

You can rest now? What about Completionist++ 😁

Either way, congrats, I stopped after completing normal Completionist and the Challenges.
Metagaming is a bogeyman of TTRPGs, used to describe the sort of bad behavior in an RPG horror story. But is that all? Join us as we discuss what metagaming is, when it can be beneficial, and how attempting to avoid it can be the start of a different horror story.

Dungeon Dad had a really fun video on the 5e version of the titan ancestry I wrote for the Year of Titans Kickstarter (also for Pathfinder 2e, but the build in the video is in 5e): www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBh_....

I would say generally be very mindful of exactly what a character can and can't do while solo piloting a solo vehicle. Look especially at how fast it can go and if it has unusual Speeds. Then you can make sure the rest of your campaign is appropriately calibrated around that!
In the continuing annals of no context game design text, here we have a triple spell:
"but using the dispelled spell’s spell rank"
In discourse I see on TTRPGs, a recurring worry is that the existence of feats can make it hard or impossible to improvise rulings for characters who don't have the feat (or you don't know about it). Linda and I made this 7 minute video explaining how: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOBf...
Don't Let Feats Stop You from Improvising
Just because a feat exists, doesn't mean you can't improvise a ruling for a character without that feat. Watch this short video for tips from Mark and Linda ...

Congratulations on the new home Lyz!
Thanks! I just remembered that Bluesky does not have direct messaging. It's similar enough I never remember what it doesn't have until I notice it's not there.
I will happily take PMs here or on X. They should be open to folks even if I'm not following. I'd rather not post my e-mail address publically on social media where the spambots can find it. Can you think of a good alternative to give folks who don't use these platforms or don't want to PM?
put my money where my mouth is on this. If anyone from former WotC Staff affected by this cut wants a freelance writing gig (especially if you need something in the near term), hit me up and I'll do my best to get you something! And if you know someone, point them here! 2/2
