I was in Zanzibar on October, 15, 1994 (Tanzania), had been in Africa for a few months - I got sick, when I say sick I actually mean that I died. High temperature, my heart stopped, the doctor performed CPR and I was put into a bath of ice and ice water to lower my temp. I had Malaria (Bitten by a mosquito in Monkey Bay, Malawi, a country south of Tanzania, two weeks earlier) - the hospital, a former restaurant, was the smallest I had ever seen - Two weeks later after being feed a drip of Vitamin B and plenty of H2o, along with more than a few gin and tonics, I was....well...better.
