Thanks so much, Lynda! Really hope you enjoyed them. Louie actually pledged for the books. I think I gave a cameo to ‘L Stowell’ in there somewhere
Submitted at the 11th hour as always. Quite pleased with the 8 mins sample script in the end. But the treatment for a 2nd show that they ask you to submit is totally what I actually want to be writing. I’m not confident I’ll get in, but got to be in it to win it!
I was today years old when I learned that Prince Harry’s name is actually Henry
Watching the best film ever made
Wonderful review of The Dream-Pedlars’ Parade just dropped!

The piece is a society-wide call to arms, but I'm wondering now what levers I possess, and the levers publishing can pull. How can we help parents enjoy reading to their kids? (Given all the pressures on them that government needs to fix eg providing secure, well-paid employment w reasonable hours)
Rejigged my showreel for an application. Not perfect yet - needs different music, cutting to the beat & a few brief sound bites, but I’m glad to show off some material from a few recent short film projects. #filmmakerslife
A quick Sunday morning reading from The Boy Who Stole Time #yafantasybooks
The best thing about a new series of Race Across the World is there first ten minutes when you’re trying to work siblings or fking.
Really not enjoying all these Doctor Who cancellation rumours. Enjoying the idea that Ncuti Gatwa has already filmed a regeneration scene even less. But whoever suggested Ambika Mod as the next Doctor…5 stars. Just don’t give me less than 3 Gatwa seasons & some specials pls
Thank you! It’s been so long since I’ve seen it tbf!
Bonus points if it’s not in English!
Film friends! I have a question for a thing: Can you think of a film focussing around an often solitary character whose sense of reality is warped completely out of shape during the night, leading to profound consequences. Thinking of Taxi Driver, Odd Man Out or Censor. Thoughts?

Film question - can people of films where the last shot is of someone smiling…but the smile isn’t what you think? It could be forced, insincere, twisted. Especially when they’re a female character. I’m thinking of Midsommar or Censor. Doesn’t have to be horror, but dark is good! Thanks!
Well, The Well was bloody good. Very dark, intense, concentrated. Starts off as Aliens, ends up as The Thing. A certain element has made some folk go ‘wouldn’t it have worked just as well without this?!’ & I was honestly fine with it. Great stuff, Doctor Who!
Massive congrats - such an achievement & can’t wait to listen!
Finished the edit for my comedy-drama Agents in the @wshed.bsky.social cafe this afternoon. Still got colour/sound/music to sort but it’s getting there!
