I deleted Instagram of my phone. The shortform videos were getting too addictive. I could lose an hour or more on them in a stretch. The focus app I was using wasn't working with insta for some reason. Take care of your social media consumption out there folks.

November was one of the lowest writing months I've had in a long time. A major car accident derailed my life for a while followed by a funeral and the holidays (Thanksgiving and my sister's birthday). Trying to resettle and recenter for December before the holidays shake everything up again.

I've read a lot of the Great Gatsby retellings since it went into the public domain and I find it interesting how long most of them are compared to the original. Just a testament to how effective the original less than 50k words of the original were.
