Hot take: I think stories (novels, movies, tv shows) should be able to hold up to spoilers. Still not cool to spoiler the ending for people, but a good story should be enjoyable even if you know the ending. #WriteSky #Booksky
From Object Impermanence:

“Ah — the memories. Memories are tricky ones. Have to be plucked like a daisy from a field. But they’re the most… distinct.”

Another alternative is qobuz for folks looking for another option. They only have a paid tier but they really high pay to artists per stream.
From Safe Haven

Haven pushed open the door; the room shushed as fast as someone might blow out a match.

Like I'd to do some legwork of marketing for any book launch (guest blogs, podcasts, whatever) but I'd expect an established publisher to be the one with the plan, connections, and expertise. Your business is selling books!
Me to me: I should stop buying things... except for all the things I want to buy.
From Safe Haven:

Zeal’s grip tightened on his glass, though his expression remained carefully unchanged. He loved a verbal battle, but he loathed being interrupted.

I was researching boutique publishers and one of them asked you to submit a marketing plan along with your query. Listen, if I have a competent marketing plan, I would be self-publishing... #AmQuerying
A little second person #WIPSnips from Object Impermanence:

You’ve tried to identify where the first of the cascading cracks started, but all you can land on is the last one. Screaming at each other from across the gulf of a room. You, throwing your hands up in the ultimate denial of it all.
Things I remember from my childhood or teenage years being 20-30 years old now does not freak me out. Things I remember from my post-collage adulthood have 10 year anniversaries is the thing that freaks me out. #Adulting
A day late, but here is "hope" from Object Impermanence:

Maybe a logical person would’ve called somebody at this point, or crawled back under their covers and hoped it would all get sorted by itself. But I went down to the front door armed only with a flashlight on.

From Object Impermanence:

It was the type of smile that pulled you in and then pushed you out with the same hand. A kind of smile that said you could look, but you could only look. You would never touch, and you would certainly never understand.

From Safe Haven:

Someone less savvy than Haven might’ve found this a warm welcome. However, he knew from the brassy pitch to Zeal’s tone and the tightness of his grip on the decanter he didn’t want Haven to be there.

Does anyone have any tea on Interlude Press since it was bought by Chicago Review Press. I used to follow them because some of its early authors were fanfic authors I, but it doesn't look like they've published anything new in years. #WriteSky #Publishing #amQuerying

"It was his prized possession. An actual Earth book, made of paper from Earth trees, written by a man who lived an Earth life…”

The pages were yellowed and crisp to the touch, and fanned wide against a spine lined with creases. It had been well- and often read.

Perry grabbed his duffle, backpack, tablet case, and rolling suitcase, a battery of straps and handles twisted around him by the time they were all secured. Last time, he had come fleeing to Taros with a singular duffle bag; packing this time around, he couldn’t decide what to prepare for

No "dungeon" so "prison"

Stay? His crossed arms loosened. To stay would be slow suffocation. The place he had called home for the last months had grown invisible prison bars.

My own characters have made me cry before. I think it's a good thing to have that much investment as a writer.
From Safe Haven:

Once safely cocooned in the tiny bathroom, the first sniffle escaped. He pressed his flat palms over his eyes as he paced his breathing. No more. Not in near-strangers’ bathroom.
